Over 33 years’ experience working in the public and private sectors in Civil Engineering, Construction and CMT

projects. As a business owner, consultant and project manager my experience has encompassed all aspects of

  · Rented the offices, bought the equipment and certified the laboratory for Geotechnical, CMT &

Environmental Services

  · Managed and mentored over 55 employees in the CMT/NDE department and laboratory for PSI in Jefferson,

Louisiana where I was upsizing and downsizing my work force as needed.

July 2007 – November 2012

  · Our services covered all Parishes in Southeast Louisiana including but not limited to Orleans, Jefferson and

the surrounding jurisdictions, St. Bernard, Plaquemines, Lafourche, St. Charles, St. John the Baptist, St.

Tammany, and Tangipahoa.

  · Managed most of the BD and sales for my Department as well as some sales for the Geotechnical and

Environmental Departments.

  · Supervised, mentored and trained a team of project managers, lab manager, dispatchers, administration

assistants, and a wide range of engineering technicians.

  · Did an average of over $350,000.00 in sales with an average profit margin of over 30%. A few month sales

exceeded $500,000.00 with profit margins reaching above 45%.

  · Did most of the HR within the CS/NDE Department and focused on the training, certification and retaining

the best employees.

  · Reviewed daily all the proposals and prepared some of the ones that were sent out of the CS/NDE and

Geotechnical Departments

  · Kept with the lab accreditation and the calibration of the lab equipment.

  · Reviewed all the change orders and prepared the ones in excess of $100,000.00

  · Hired and supervised subcontractors and retained vendors.

  · Devoted on average about 20% of an average of 60-hour work weeks on collections and collected most of the

Department’s invoices and even helped other departments in collecting their outstanding invoices.

Volunteer – St. Bernard Parish (Louisiana)

  · Worked as volunteer in St. Bernard Parish helping the recovery and the re-building efforts of the residents of

St. Bernard Parish post hurricane Katrina.

  · Worked with local officials to assess the impact of the evacuees housing in their communities. Provided

evacuees of hurricane Katrina FEMA assistant programs that were cost shared between federal and state

governments.

Construction Manager (Partner), First Contracting Corporation

March 1985 - May 1999

Managed and directed the construction division of this general contracting firm. The company was involved in

diversified civil engineering projects ranging in price from $50,000.00 to $6,000,000.00. The projects involved

sites preparation, the construction of sewage and water supply pipelines, Irrigation channels, multi-story

reinforced concrete and masonry residential and commercial buildings ranging in area from 5000-100,000 square

feet. My responsibilities involved the following:

As a site engineer, I supervised the construction and maintenance of reinforced concrete storage facilities and

commercial and residential multi-story buildings. My duties involved assistance in scheduling, reporting (daily,
